At the end of May and beginning of June, a cheerful group from Engers, consisting of 43 participants from the singing club, traveled to Luisenthal in the Thuringian Forest. It's no wonder that the choir not only explored the cultural roots of the region on such an excursion, but also planned enough time for social moments. After an exciting day in Oberhof, where Thuringian bratwurst was also served, the journey continued. The group visited the charming town of Schmalkalden and ended the day on the Großer Inselsberg. At over 900 meters, this mountain is the starting point of the Thuringia-Hesse-Rhine hiking trail and the perfect destination for all hiking enthusiasts.
The members of the singing club also had the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape of the Thuringian Forest, which is not only known for its winter sports opportunities, but the region also attracts numerous hikers in summer.
