Hessentag 2025 in Bad Vilbel: A celebration of diversity and culture!
The big Hessentag festival will take place in Bad Vilbel from June 13th to 22nd, 2025. Under the motto “We put Hesse on the stage”, the city becomes the stage for over 1,600 events at 46 locations, most of which can be attended without admission. A real highlight for everyone who wants to experience the state of Hesse and its culture.
The event area extends from the picturesque Dottenfelderhof over the charming Niddaufer cycle path to the fairground and the wonderful castle park. In particular, the festival area with the Vilco town hall and the adjacent sports facilities at the outdoor pool will be a central attraction for visitors during these days. In addition, Hessentagsstrasse, which runs from the train station via Friedberger and Heinrich-Heine-Strasse to the festival site, will be a lively route to the numerous attractions.
Concerts and events
The festivities offer a varied program, including 45 paid events with stars such as Howard Carpendale, the Sisters of Mercy and many more. A real fireworks display of concerts is on offer for lovers of good music. From Ski Aggu on June 13th to Moses Pelham and Jimmy Kelly & The Streetorchestra on the final day of the festival, June 22nd, there is something for every taste. Various plays such as “The Double Lottchen” or “Peter Pan” also enrich the cultural offering and make the event a special experience for young and old.
The concerts are not free; Tickets cost between 13 and 90 euros and can be purchased at the hr ticket center or at the local ticket office. Hessischer Rundfunk will offer a varied entertainment program throughout the day from 10 a.m. to midnight, ideal for anyone who wants to move from one event to the other.
Arrival and parking
What's the best way to get to the festivities? Traveling by public transport is an excellent option. The S-Bahn line S6 connects Bad Vilbel directly with Frankfurt, and the region is also well served by additional trains on the lines RB34, RB40 and RB41. Bus lines 365 and 551 also have extended travel times during Hessentag.
There are more than 8,000 paid parking spaces available for drivers in car parks P1 and P2. And the best thing is: A free shuttle bus takes visitors directly from the parking lot to the festival site. Cyclists also get their money's worth; There are over 2,000 bicycle parking spaces. However, one important rule remains: Bicycles are not allowed to enter the festival grounds to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Tour groups can make reservations in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly. Popular locations for reservations include the marquee at Bundeswehr Square and the Police Bistro at Police Square, where you can also stop for a good piece of cake. The parking spaces for coaches are designated in the Massenheim commercial area, but these cost 15 euros per day.
Security measures
Safety is a top priority throughout the entire event. There is a weapons ban zone and over 100 emergency services, including police and emergency services, are on site. The fire department is present with over 60 volunteers in two shifts, supported by Malteser, Johannitern, the ASB and the DRK. Over 500 volunteers also help to make Hessentag a safe and unforgettable experience.
Bad Vilbel not only offers a variety of attractions at Hessentag; The surrounding area also has a lot to offer with drinking places, Kneipp pools and a barefoot path. For anyone who wants to explore a little more, a visit to the city library or the aqua park is worthwhile.
The next big event will be the Hessentag 2026 in Fulda, which will take place from June 12th to 21st. But until then, the focus is on Hessentag 2025 in Bad Vilbel, which everyone can look forward to!
