There is news for all history and food lovers in Bad Orb: a new brochure entitled “Bad Orb à la carte” has been published. It covers topics such as food, drink, gardening and celebrations in the region in an informative manner. The author Hermann Heim, known for his prose and dialect verses, has dedicated himself to this task with great passion. The sixth brochure is dedicated to special aspects of nutrition in historical times - not least during times of war. A fusion of history and cuisine

The aim of the association is to deepen the historical awareness of citizens. Together with the city and museum administration, the association pursues various activities, including lectures and excursions, to keep the history and culture of the region alive. This close exchange also promotes the preservation of historical buildings and documentary work.
The club's chairman, Roland Weiss, emphasizes the committed teamwork that played an important role in the creation of the new brochure. The association's researchers not only conducted archive studies, but also conducted valuable conversations with contemporary witnesses in order to make the content lively and authentic, as shown on My paper can be read.

The official presentation of the brochure will take place on August 28, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the hall of the König Ludwig Foundation.
