New wind at TSV Speyer: Andres Rüb becomes managing director!
An important turn is before TSV Speyer 1847 e.V. on July 1, 2025, Andres Rüb will take over the office of full -time managing director and club manager. Rüb succeeds Andreas Kochner, who played an important role in a difficult transition phase of the club. The decision for the 38-year-old was made by those responsible for the association, chaired by Angelika Wöhlert and several applicants who had applied for this position.
Rüb, who was born in Aachen and grew up in Speyer, has actively committed himself in the handball department of the association over the years. With his family-his sports enthusiasts and the three children-sport is an integral part of her life, while Rüb also holds functions in the Rheinhessen-Palatinate handball association. He has been living in Speyer since 2014 after being in Hofheim am Taunus for some time.
New momentum in the club management
With his well-founded training in architecture, which he gained at the University of Stuttgart, Rüb brings valuable experience in project planning, appointment and cost control. He now wants to bring these skills into the administrative work of the association. Rüb emphasizes that although he starts as a career changer, he sees optimal conditions in order to work quickly and to help shape the club life positively.
The vision that Rüb has for his new role is clear. He wants to be a permanent contact for the departments and members and in particular strengthen the club identity and the sense of community. Through his years of voluntary work, he has already developed a deep understanding of the needs of the club members. This should help him successfully master challenges in everyday club life.
volunteering in focus
Rüb's commitment to TSV Speyer fits seamlessly into a broader discussion about volunteering in sports. Systematic volunteer management is crucial to increase the attractiveness of volunteering. According to the guidelines of the "life cycle of voluntary commitment", all steps from initial interest to the start to the binding and development of the area of activity should be carefully accompanied - a challenge in which Rüb would like to actively participate. After all, engagement-friendly organizational culture are the basis for the success of every club.
With the new main office, TSV Speyer has taken a brave step into a dynamic future. Andres Rüb promises to get to work full of enthusiasm and with a clear goal. The members may be excited to see what the coming months will bring.
