Steinbach, Deutschland - An exciting morning can keep the elementary school students in classes 3a and 3b of the Einhard School in Steinbach in a beautiful memory. On July 3, 2025, the children had the opportunity to playfully learn everything about fire protection in a close cooperation with the Steinbach fire brigade. Here they experienced up close how important the correct use of fire is and what role the fire brigade plays in our society. The event was taken up by the kids with curiosity and enthusiasm and, last but not least, they were very proud to be able to use the newly learned knowledge in a practical way.

The fire brigade members guided the students and showed them, for example, the differences between the professional and volunteer fire brigade. The simulation in the Rauchhaus was particularly impressive, which brought practical behaviors closer to the children in the event of a fire. "It is important that children are not afraid of firefighters," explained the emergency services, while showing the little ones the respiratory protection devices. In addition, the students were allowed to try on fire clothes and even climb into a fire -fighting group, which was definitely a highlight for many.

The exciting activities were also playful stations, where the children could hit pylons with a jet tube tennis balls and flaps on the syringe house. Such exercises are not only entertaining, but also promote awareness of the work of the fire brigade. At the end of the morning, all participants received a “fire protection diploma” and were able to reward themselves with an ice cream-a perfect conclusion for an educational day.
