Schwartenmagen-Konvent: Enjoyment for a good cause in Fulda!
The second Schwartenmagen convention on Wednesday evening in the Antonius festival barn once again provided enthusiastic spectators and culinary delights. The event, organized by the Fulda Business Juniors, was very well received and attracted numerous guests who enjoyed the Hessian cult dish Schwartenmagen and at the same time supported a good cause. Sebastian Steuer, board member of the Fulda Economic Juniors, welcomed those present and warmly thanked the butchers who were represented with their delicacies.
A total of ten different types of rind stomach were offered by regional butchers from Fulda, Großenlüder, Flieden and Dipperz. A real feast for the senses that also promoted conviviality and focused on social purpose. The proceeds from the event go to Antonius' “er: Grow” project, which aims to create a new vegetable house with training places for disadvantaged young people.
Culinary delights and musical entertainment
The musical performances by the Schwartenmagen sextet from Künzell, which thrilled the audience with their sounds, made it particularly joyful. Two butcher shops were able to share the title of “best rind stomach of the evening”: the Landhof Kömpel from Großenlüder and the Robert Müller butcher shop from Flieden/Rueckers. Christoph Schneider from the Schneider butcher shop, who won the prize last year, once again demonstrated the high quality of the regional products.
A total of around 60 guests came to the first rind stomach convention in 2024, where the butcher Schneider awarded the title “Best rind stomach of the evening”. The positive response to the first convention shows that such an event not only serves to promote regional specialties, but also to strengthen the social commitment of the business juniors. According to the organizers, the Schwartenmagen Convention will remain an integral part of the WJ Fulda event calendar in the future.
Commitment to the region
The Economic Juniors not only stand for delicious culinary delights, but also promote numerous projects that focus on social responsibility and commitment. Its goal is to motivate disadvantaged young people to take advantage of their opportunities for a better life, be it by graduating from school or by starting a professional career. This refreshing combination of enjoyment and social purpose clearly shows that WJ Fulda has a good knack for regional projects and responsibility.
