Free training: Understanding places in grief support!

An interesting training course on grief counseling will be offered in Frankenberg on September 15th. The Waldeck-Frankenberg self-help contact point is organizing a free event that deals intensively with the “importance of places in end-of-life and grief support”. These issues touch us all: Dying and grieving are processes that affect life profoundly and are often associated with uncertain feelings.

The event will take place in the inpatient hospice at Ledermühle 3 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone interested in self-help is invited to take part in the discussion. Particular attention is paid to the role of places during end-of-life and grief support. Because during the last phases of life and when dealing with grief, certain protected spaces can have a comforting effect.

A space for questions and exchange

An important aim of the training is to encourage participants to share their current questions and problems regarding end-of-life and grief support. Hospice employees are available to discuss individual concerns. The range of topics ranges from outpatient end-of-life care to the options available in a hospice or palliative care unit. A valuable opportunity for anyone who would like to engage more intensively with these sensitive but important topics.

It is noteworthy that the event is intended as a continuation of an offer from September 8th in Korbach, so participation in it is not required. The number of participants is limited to 15 people, which is why early registration is necessary. Anyone interested can register by September 11th by phone at 05631/9541888 or by email.

Prepared for the inevitable

According to the Malteser website, which deals with hospice work, palliative care and grief support, it is of great importance that seriously ill people and their relatives receive support and advice. This creates a familiar space in which people can live in dignity until the end. Hospice work makes it possible to reduce fears of artificially extending or shortening life and takes physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs into account.

In Germany there are around 100 hospice services and 75 bereavement support services that offer broad support for all age groups. This is to ensure that everyone receives the support they need, be it at home, in care facilities or hospitals. These offers can be invaluable, especially in such phases of life.

Take the opportunity to attend the advanced training course on grief support in Frankenberg and find out about the various support options. Participation could not only be informative but also very helpful for you and your loved ones. All information about the event can be found at 112-magazin.de as well as on the website Maltese.
