Seven students with top grade 1.0: Festwoche at the Schwalmgymnasium!
At the Schwalmgymnasium in Schwalmstadt-Treysa, an exciting chapter was completed last week: 85 students successfully passed their high school diploma. This service is recognized with a solemn handover of certificates, which will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Previously, on Friday, June 27, 2025, there will be a high school duty in the Treysa town church at 7 p.m. to adequately adopt the graduates. The big abipief will finally be celebrated on Friday, July 4, 2025, in the Antreffhalle Willingshausen.
particularly gratifying: 30 graduates were able to achieve an average grade with one before the decimal point. Among them are seven outstanding students who have reached the top grade of 1.0. These are:

average and special services
The Abitur average of the year is 2.09, which is a very respectable performance in view of the current educational statistics in Germany. Last year the Abitur year did not have the opportunity to take off its high school diploma due to the change from the eight to the nine-year high school season. The school management, under the direction of Mario Cimiotti, highlights the diversity of the school system and emphasizes the broad knowledge base of the graduates. Headmaster Cimiotti and study director Dr. Michael Funke presented the certificates to the vintage, which was ceremoniously adopted in the Festhalle Treysa with 63 high school graduates.
NILS Tettschlag, the vocational spokesman, took the opportunity to criticize the challenges of digitization in the education system. His announcement was very well received by those present, who are aware that the education system still has improvement potential. Pupils who have emerged in different subjects were also particularly recognized for their special achievements, and the AG participants in the choir and social engagement were particularly praised.
A look into the future
At a time when education and its quality are more in focus than ever, the graduates of this year illustrate the diverse possibilities that the education system offers. The educational server shows that such statistics are important not only to evaluate individual services, but also to find new ways again and again how to further develop the system. In contrast, the social report in 2024 must point out the need for a careful consideration of the educational data in order to further increase the quality standards in schools.
The future looks fuller for the graduates of the Schwalmgymnasium, and as the school management correctly says, it is important to keep an eye on both their own needs and the commitment to others. For an exciting time after graduation!
