Little artists create a colorful community garden in Hofgeismar!
As befits the children in Hofgeismar are once again the focus, with a creative painting competition that invites young artists to create their ideas for a new fairytale garden on Entengasse. This great project was supported by the Dice Tower School and the Gustav Heinemann School, and the result is impressive! A total of 30 works by students from both schools will now be shown in an exhibition that will find its place in the Markt district. HNA reports that the fairy tale garden will not only be a beautiful place, but also a space for community activities.
The award ceremony took place with great joy. Who won? The first award went to Charlotte Knauf from the Gustav Heinemann School, followed by Jeva Janovsky and Daniel Arif from the Cube Tower School, who took second place. All children who took part received a certificate. A nice sign of appreciation for the creative minds who took part in the competition!
Creativity and commitment
The community garden will be a place for all Hofgeismar residents who do not have their own garden. Raised beds and larger beds are planned, which not only serve self-sufficiency, but also offer space for events. Interested helpers who would like to actively support watering and designing the garden are welcome!
But that's not all: The city of Hofgeismar has also launched another painting competition aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 12. It is important to deal with the motto “The new miracle spring of Hofgeismar”. The children can hand in their pictures to the city museum until November 28th. A total of five of the best works will not only receive awards - the winners can also look forward to cinema vouchers!
Balance sheet and outlook
With the support of the Ab-in-die-Mitte project, creative initiatives are flourishing in Hofgeismar. The new community garden and the competitions not only promote the talents of the little ones, but also togetherness in the city. Creativity, nature and community – these are the ingredients for a colorful and lively neighborhood!
