Martin's market in Oberursel: culinary highlights and craftsmanship!

Today, November 10th, 2025, the popular St. Martin's Market took place again in Oberursel, organized by the trade association “lokal O.”. Around 50 stalls attracted visitors with a delicious culinary variety and traditional crafts. The market exuded a medieval atmosphere, underlined by the cheerful music of the Viesematente group, which put visitors in a festive mood.

Particularly in the spotlight was the Hungarian saleswoman Molly, who was a real crowd-puller with her freshly baked Striezel based on a traditional recipe. Couples from Oberursel who treated themselves to a sample enthusiastically praised the taste and quality of their delicacy. fnp.de reports that this Martinsmarkt also shows the connection between tradition and modernity - especially in the context of the 175th anniversary of "focused O."

A market for young and old

In her speech, event manager Ramona Müller highlighted the impressive variety of offerings, which also included new stands. Saint Martin handed out alarm clocks to the little visitors and created a warm atmosphere.

There were numerous craft activities for the younger guests, organized by the creative Elke Peglow. Here children could decorate table lanterns and candles - fun for the whole family. Michael Berger from Thuringia also exhibited handmade wooden objects, including lamps and cutting boards, which were very popular with visitors.

  • Stofftaschen und Kosmetikbeutel von Stefanie Röder

Stefanie Röder, in turn, offered charming hand-sewn fabric bags and cosmetic bags that were a great addition to the offering. The visitors clearly enjoyed the market, tried out the various dishes and experienced the festive atmosphere of the event.

The Martinsmarkt in Oberursel remains a living example of how tradition and modern offerings merge harmoniously. A festival for all the senses that brings young and old together and brings great joy. If you haven't been there yet, you'll have the opportunity to see this diversity for yourself next time!
