Another topic that came up during the local inspection was the renovation of the “Rendeler Hof”, which had been outstanding for six years. The owner is unknown and the persistent problems cannot be overlooked: weeds spread out, which leads to strollers to switch to the street. In addition, an open construction site ensures dangers in the area. Residents of Stauffenbergstrasse and Klein-Karbener-Straße reported dangerous trips.

In order to increase the safety in traffic, the proposal was made to refresh the parking strips and create new parking zones to reduce speed. Other concerns include the urgently needed total renovation of the playground in Goerdeler Straße with forecast costs of around 200,000 euros for large play equipment and 20,000 euros for smaller ones.

Another concern of the local inspection was the cemetery care, which the city of Karben costs 385,000 euros annually, with 40% eliminating rendel. The aim is to increase the level of cover for cemetery care to 50% by 2027. Despite the costs, the citizens are generally satisfied with the care of the cemetery.

In addition, an application for planting 2-3 high tribes in Obergasse was discussed. Speed ​​measurements on the same street have shown that hardly anyone drives faster than 35 km/h, which calms the residents. The old town hall remains a popular starting point, as there is a midwife practice and a local library that records 800 visitors and 2000 annually.

The planned structural measures are in line with the legal foundations for the construction and equipment of day care centers, such as those defined in the German Occupational Safety Act (ArbSchG). According to the requirements, dangers to the health and security of the employees and children of kindergarten age must be avoided. This also includes the safety of playground equipment that must correspond to the current state of the art, as can be seen from the directions of the DGUV.
