System-Holz supports EC Bad Nauheim: A strong commitment to the region!

Something is happening in Bad Nauheim, because the EC Bad Nauheim is happy about a new sponsor: the company System-Holz from Altenstadt. This company brings a breath of fresh air and a clear message that focuses on the regionally rooted economy. Site manager Jasmin Titzmann emphasizes that wood is a natural, renewable material that is incredibly important for the future. This is not only a commitment to sport, but also a strong commitment to the local economy.

“We are proud to become part of the ‘Red Devil family’,” says Titzmann happily. EC managing director Andreas Ortwein agrees and emphasizes how important shared values such as passion and cohesion are for both the company and the club. This creates a connection that goes far beyond the sponsorship relationship.

The connection to nature

Wood not only has great importance for the region, it is also a real all-rounder in the modern world. Germany is considered the leading timber country in Europe and can look forward to an impressive wood supply of around 3.7 billion cubic meters. German forests are managed in a natural way, so that significantly more wood grows back than is removed. A key advantage: Sustainably managed forests support climate protection by absorbing CO2 and storing carbon.

A look at the numbers shows that forest use in Germany avoids up to 127 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions every year, thereby offsetting around 14% of national CO2 emissions. This impressive balance is supported by the Charter for Wood 2.0, which was launched by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. This initiative aims to promote wood from sustainable forestry and thus make a valuable contribution to the creation of jobs and added value in rural regions.

The future of construction

The use of wood not only promises ecological benefits, but also has considerable potential in construction. The federal government's timber construction initiative of 2023 has clear goals: climate- and resource-saving construction should be promoted. A large number of competitions and funding such as the national HolzbauPlus 2025/26 competition with prize money of 50,000 euros for climate-friendly construction projects underline the trend towards focusing on wood as a building material. Timber construction enables shorter construction phases and helps reduce land consumption - a real benefit for the environment.

With the integration of System-Holz into the EC Bad Nauheim sponsorship series, a strong signal is sent out about the importance of sport and the regional economy. It will be exciting to see how this commitment develops and what it will bring for the future of the club and the region. Because one thing is certain: there is a lot of potential in the combination of business, sport and nature.
