Burglaries in Bad Soden: Police are looking for clues to the perpetrators!
In the last week there have been some alarming incidents in the Bad Soden region that have kept the local police on their toes. Shocking burglaries, attempted crimes and stolen items are the topics that not only concern senior citizens and residents, but also investigators. The developments that took place between June 8th and 11th, according to news.de are worrying.
In Bad Soden, unknown perpetrators broke into a residential building on Talstrasse by forcing open a window. The jewelry that was stolen represents an emotional loss, especially for the families affected. While the burglars fled unnoticed with their loot, attempted break-ins were also discovered on “Zum Geisborn” street. However, these failed when the perpetrators failed to pry open the door to the underground car park and disappeared without success. The material damage amounts to several hundred euros.
Crime in focus
The slumps in the region are part of a worrying trend that has increased after the Corona years. In 2023, there were 119,000 thefts in Germany, including 77,800 residential burglaries, which represents an increase compared to previous years and shows that security within one's own four walls is particularly at risk, as Statista highlights.
Another example of increasing crime is the theft of a wallet from a parked Opel Astra in Eschborn on the night of June 9th. Unidentified perpetrators stole debit cards and cash from the vehicle while being recorded on a surveillance camera. The video data could help the investigative team in Sulzbach to identify the suspects.
Safety instructions and appeal
The local police officers are asking the public for attention and information about suspicious people. It is also recommended to keep valuables safe and to always secure windows and doors.
According to frankfurt-live.com, the criminal police have therefore set up a hotline to receive tips on (06196) 2073-0. The police are doing everything they can to identify the perpetrators and improve the security situation in the region.
The local population is once again reminded to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. Even if the number of home break-ins in Hesse is still below the level of five years ago, citizens are well advised to always keep an eye on their own security precautions.
