Be careful, Rüsselsheim! Hospitality is rewarded with a gold ring!

In Rüsselsheim-Königstädten, the boundaries between hospitality and unscrupulous theft have recently become significantly blurred. An unknown perpetrator took advantage of the good nature of a 65-year-old to steal a valuable gold ring. As Rhein Main Verlag reports, the incident occurred on Feldbergstrasse, the exact time of the crime is still unclear.

The perpetrator, who is between 31 and 40 years old and of strong build, was described as being around 151 to 160 cm tall. She appeared polite and asked permission to use the toilet. While she was in the victim's house, she allegedly left the victim with high-quality jewelry. But that was just a nasty distraction. When the hostess took off a ring to try on the supposed jewelry, the thief grabbed the gold ring and disappeared without leaving a trace.

Another robbery

The incident on Feldbergstrasse is not the only theft that concerns the city. On Saturday evening, October 25th, a 65-year-old was the victim of a robbery on Godesberger Straße, as News.de reported. At around 6 p.m., the perpetrator, who was sitting in a black station wagon, spoke to the older woman and engaged her in conversation.

Meanwhile, a passenger got out and held the woman, which ultimately enabled the thieves to steal jewelry, including a necklace and earrings. When the 65-year-old called loudly for help, the perpetrators fled towards Essener Straße. The description of the honorable ladies is similar: The first perpetrator is also described as 30 to 40 years old and strong and, like the personality from Feldbergstrasse, wore dark clothing.

Call for help

The police have already taken over the investigation in both cases, with the responsible body being Commissariat 21/22 in Rüsselsheim. The investigative teams are asking the public for help. Anyone who has observed something or knows the perpetrators is asked to call 06142/696-0.

The current incidents show once again that one should be particularly vigilant, especially in times of hospitality. In Rüsselsheim, protecting citizens from such attacks is of great importance, and any information can help bring the perpetrators to justice.
