Biebesheim: Youth fire brigade triumphs despite a small number of participants!
The district championships of the youth fire brigades in our region have finally taken place again, but with mixed feelings: only seven of 32 youth fire brigades took part in the competition. This is an increase compared to the previous year when only five teams competed, but it shows that there is still room for improvement. Simone Kaiser from the district children's and youth fire brigade showed that she was disappointed with the small number of participants, but she was optimistic and welcomed the positive development compared to previous years. In order to further increase the numbers, Tim Kaiser appealed to the participants to make more advertising for the competitions so that more teams can come together in the coming year.
It was particularly gratifying that many youth leaders who had participated in these competitions in the past were active. These valuable experience could play an important role in optimally preparing the next generation. The district youth fire brigade also ensures that support is offered in learning the necessary exercises for the individual weirs. [Echo-Online] (https://www.echoonline.de/lokales/kreis-gross-gerau/biebesheim/berkacher-jugendfeuerwehr-holt-zwei- von-drei-pokalen-4709784) reports that the enthusiasm for the youth fire brigade is clearly visible.
cup disciplines and challenges
The competitions are organized in various disciplines that are held every two years. One of the most sought -after disciplines is the extinguishing attack, in which a fire water jet must be injected into a target container. Teams from five members of the youth fire brigade and an adult who acts as a machine operator compete against each other. Another highlight is the group relay, in which skill and speed are required. Among other things, knots have to be linked and hoses coupled. The 5 × 80-meter fire brigade relay, which harbors various obstacles and is completed in time mode, also ensures tension and challenge. Each team consists of five members and has to cope with fire -fighting tasks. KFV-LDS explains that the teams have to prove that they are regularly a member of the youth fire brigade on the day of the competition.
The next big championships will take place in the future. Successful teams from the district championships qualify for the national championships that will take place in 2018. This promises exciting competitions at the higher level and possibly the chance of nationwide. Jugendfeuerwehr.de emphasizes that such competitions not only serve as a qualification for the federal decision, but also as a springboard for international competitions, where teams from many different countries meet.
In conclusion, it remains to be said that the youth fire brigade not only plays an important role in fire fighting, but also offers a platform for young people to develop team spirit and skills. With an upcoming advertising campaign and more commitment, the number of participants could increase suddenly next year, and thus also the enthusiasm and the skills of young people in fire brigade funding. It is important to stack these valuable stones on top of each other and to continue to spark the fire of enthusiasm.Details | |
