ISAAK replaces Zoe Wees at the big hr3 concert in Darmstadt!
A musical highlight is coming to Darmstadt in August! On Friday, August 8, 2025, a free open-air concert will take place on Karolinenplatz as part of the hr bike tour. The main act ISAAK will take the stage after the talented Zoe Wees had to cancel her appearance due to scheduling conflicts. In addition, newcomer Marc Atlas will provide musical entertainment as a support act.
ISAAK, who at 29 already has an impressive career behind him, started his musical journey as a street musician and has since established himself as a serious artist. He became best known for his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the hit song “Always on the Run”. His single “Baby Steps” with DJ David Puentez gained over 20 million streams on Spotify and climbed to the top of the iTunes charts. Most recently he released the soulful number “Happy Tears”.
New face: Marc Atlas
Marc Atlas, who is only 18 years old, has already made a name for himself. This young artist, also self-taught on the piano, used his childhood bedroom as a studio to give free rein to his creative ideas. His 2022 debut single “Falling Like A Stone” marks the beginning of his musical career and shows his determination to make music his life path.
The hr Bike Tour 2025 is not only a highlight for music lovers, but also offers a platform for emerging talent. From August 7th to 10th, 2025, a colorful program will be offered in southern Hesse, which includes, among other things, a welcome party in Bensheim and two other events in Darmstadt, all with free admission. In addition to ISAAK and Marc Atlas, other acts such as Cutting Crew and Nicole are also expected to provide varied musical entertainment.
Review of the concert market
There is currently a positive picture across the entire German concert scene. As the current statistics show, over 15,000 concerts and events took place in the 2023/24 season, which almost reached the pre-Corona level. The 15 percent increase in regular symphony and choir concerts compared to previous seasons is particularly pleasing. This shows that audiences are willing to attend concerts again, even if public funding is under increasing pressure.
The hr bike tour is therefore a welcome opportunity not only to support local artists, but also to become part of the growing concert culture, which always remains alive despite all the challenges. Be there when the music sounds in Darmstadt on August 8th and enjoy an unforgettable evening!
