FC Starkenburgia with a winning streak: A way to stay in the league?

On November 8, 2025, FC Starkenburgia Heppenheim achieved a promising third win in a row and thus secured sixth place in the district league. This series gives the team around coach Christian Schmitt a real boost, because next Sunday, November 9th, the team will meet SG Reichenbach at home at 2:30 p.m. The game is extremely important for coach Schmitt: “It’s about us staying in the league,” said the coach.

The last few games have shown that Heppenheim's defense works well. Especially in the most recent encounter against Groß-Rohrheim, they didn't allow any clear chances to score and thus secured a 2-1 win. Reichenbach, on the other hand, has had massive difficulties in his last away games; Most recently there were heavy defeats, including a 0:5 against Rohrheim and a 1:5 against Unter-Abtsteinach. This means that the Heppenheimers could cause potential problems for the Reichenbachers.

Overview of the upcoming games

In the same league, KSG Mitlechtern is fighting for important points, but is still in second to last place. The team also has a home game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against FSG Bensheim, who are currently without a win. Coach Christian Zeiß warns of a dangerous FSG Bensheim, which should never be underestimated despite the statistics, but if Bensheim loses, the gap to the relegation place could grow to ten points.

Department head Holger Rettig from FSG was also able to report injury problems that were plaguing the team. The loss of leading player Patrick Kolleczek is particularly difficult. On the other hand, however, the team is showing positive developments with the two players Pascal Quentin and Lucas Merk, who have recently performed well.
