Birkengarten Festival 2025: Five days full of fun and live music in Lorsch!
The Birkengarten Festival 2025 is just around the corner and will be putting on a real festival in Lorsch from June 25th to 29th. This special event takes place in the leisure area on Mannheimer Straße and offers free entry for all visitors. It's not just the families who are smiling, but also the friends of the hustle and bustle, because the program has a lot to offer. Bergsträsser Anzeiger reports on a varied range of live music, theater performances, dances and an exciting children's program.
What shouldn't be missing from the Birkengarten Festival? That's right, the clowns, magicians and the various play stations that open the children's program every day. In the evening, a magical scenario unfolds when the illuminations with floating lights, an illuminated fountain and lanterns make the square shine. This will definitely warm the visitor's heart!
Thrilling entertainment for the whole family
The festival promises entertainment for young and old over five days. The stage program begins every day from Wednesday to Friday at 4:30 p.m., while on weekend days the first sounds begin at 11:00 a.m. On the opening evening on Wednesday, visitors can look forward to the singer-songwriters “Kuersche” and Robert Carl Blank, while on Thursday “Marthas Madman” will rock the stage. Friday will be dedicated to “Sam’s Living Room,” which plays hits from Woodstock to this day. Simply great!
Who thinks that's all? Far from it! On Saturday, a high-quality children's program will be presented, followed by "The Legendary Ghetto Dance Band", and on the final Sunday, after the children's program, you can look forward to "We like Birds" and "Georg auf Lieder". The crowning finale will be the talented musicians of “Eagles Reloaded”, who will perform the final notes of the festival.
Sustainability is very important
Another highlight of the Birkengarten Festival is the commitment to sustainability. A small solar park is installed to supply electricity and the illuminations are powered by solar energy. Environmental friendliness is also taken into account when obtaining information: printed flyers are unnecessary because everything important is provided via an app. Curtain up highlights that the festival is financed through the “cultural cup” system, which involves a one-off contribution of 5 euros for drinks. This cup remains valid throughout the festival and allows for more environmentally friendly access to drinks.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets and enjoy the festival at their leisure. Regional food trucks will ensure physical well-being and underline the gastronomic diversity. More and more festivals are focusing on conscious consumption and thus showing that celebrations can also be environmentally friendly Cupper Teas reported.
