Mozart's legacy inspires: Seniors in the Rambachhaus cheer at the concert!
A very special trip took the seniors of the Rambachhaus to Nieder-Moos on July 10, 2025, where they attended the eagerly awaited concert “Affaire Mozart”. This event, led by the lively Annette Postel and the Schwanen Salon Orchestra, combined humor, music history and stage fun in a captivating way. The cheerful visitors boarded the hotel's own bus, which took them safely to their destination via diversions.
As part of the concert summer, which was taken over by the community of Freiensteinau, District Administrator Jens Mischak, under his patronage, ensured that everything was well organized. Alexander Eifler, the artistic director, was able to count on a strong team of sponsors and volunteers who contributed to the successful event.
A humorous homage
The focus of the performance was Annette Postel as Mozart's “Bäsle” and mistress Maria Anna Thekla Mozart. With a lot of wit and charm, she gave the guests a humorous insight into the life of the famous composer. Postel not only discussed Mozart's strengths and weaknesses as an opera director, lover and husband, but also asked the question of whether Mozart invented jazz and tango or believed in ghosts. Such questions shed exciting light on Mozart's versatile personality.
A highlight of the event was the salon orchestra, which was perfectly lined up with professional musicians. The musicians presented a colorful mix of different musical styles, ranging from Mozart himself to modern influences such as swing, rock and tango. This created a unique crossover performance that thrilled the audience.
An unforgettable experience for the seniors
During the performance, those present were able to hear well-known melodies, including the Germanized version of “Por una cabeza”. This mixture of singing and virtuosity was very well received and caused a lot of applause. The seniors were visibly enthusiastic and lived the moments of the concert to the fullest.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the most performed composers in the world, has had a lasting impact on music history with his unmistakable style. His ability to integrate different musical styles is legendary. Mozart learned from numerous influences, both from his hometown of Salzburg and from his travels to Italy, where he absorbed the local operatic style. This cultural diversity is also reflected in the performances, which underline the composer's joy of life and humor.
The “Affaire Mozart” event was not only a cultural excursion for the seniors, but also a homage to the musical legacy of one of the greatest composers, which touched the hearts of the visitors and left lasting impressions. An all-round successful evening that convinced both music lovers and the curious.
