Large corn maze opens in Obersuhl – fun for the whole family!

This week there was reason to celebrate in Obersuhl: On July 16, 2025, the new corn maze opened, a popular excursion destination for young and old. Farmer Ruben Csollak opened the entrance to the fascinating maze after shaping the corn plants. At 27,000 square meters, the labyrinth is larger than previous years and features a new, colorful motif that is visible from the air. If you take a closer look, you will discover an inviting beach motif with a parasol, beach ball and choppy waves.

Access to the labyrinth is on the corner of Goethestrasse and Kindergartenstrasse, right next to the Vogelnest daycare center. This means that an exciting summer adventure is just around the corner that will be a lot of fun for children and families. One of the special features of this year's labyrinth is that it was created by Ruben's brother from Thuringia using GPS technology. Whether in bright sunshine or light rain, the labyrinth is very popular and remains open until the harvest in September.

A free experience with donations for the good cause

What's particularly nice is that entry is free, but donations are requested. The proceeds go to the school projects at the Rhäden school and to the kindergarten's support association. In recent years, around 1,200 euros have been collected, which have been used, among other things, to set up a mud facility. So nothing stands in the way of the kids having fun!

The corn maze in Obersuhl is part of a trend that has established itself in the region. More and more people are drawn to nature to seek challenges in labyrinths and mazes. For example, you can also get lost in the Hanflabyrinth Wetterau on Gambacher Weg in Butzbach or in the Maislabyrinth Dirlos in Künzell-Dirlos, which opened on July 13, 2025.

The best labyrinths in the area

For anyone who is planning even more extensive excursions, there are a variety of other labyrinths in the region: While the Hof Buchwald KunstMais in Nidderau offers a colorful market atmosphere on August 11th, the mighty Kellers Labyrinth in Wehrheim-Oberhain opens its doors from May to the end of October. Anyone who loves sports can look forward to the interactive Maisgeister Weißkirchen, which will be offering various quiz formats from July 20th.

Ruben Csollak's dedicated team is looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors to the corn maze.
