Bebra, Deutschland - Caroline Friebe is the new director of the Bad Hersfeld table. She took responsibility for the table in mid -April 2025 and is also a coordinator for the boards in the district. Friebe is born in Hameln, grew up at Bad Gandersheim, and has lived in Bad Hersfeld since 1998. She chose this volunteering to pursue her social vein and has 25 years of experience in the church council. Friebe plans to set up a “young table” group for up to 35-year-olds and is actively involved in the search for new premises in Rotenburg and Bebra. "I don't see my 61 years as a disadvantage," she says, planning to stay in action until retirement. She sees her role not only in the organization, but also as an important interface to the donors.

The tables have been stimulating food waste for 30 years and also enable the needy to get to food through symbolic prices or free taxes. But the situation is serious: fewer and fewer foods are provided than donations.
