In Hünfeld-Mackenzell, in the beautiful district of Fulda, on June 30, 2025 everything revolves around the 25th edition of the Hessian-Bavarian cycling foursome. With bright weather and pleasantly high temperatures, numerous cyclists will embark on an adventure on six different routes. The event has now become a fixture in the annual calendar and promises not only top sporting performances, but also a feeling of community and DOING GOOD.
Organized by the four clubs from Mackenzell, Kothen, Elters and Neuhof, the event starts at 7 a.m. at the TSG Mackenzell athletes' home or directly from home. The already traditional event goes far beyond cycling: it actively promotes sport, community and support for others. Anyone who gets on the bike can look forward to some small gifts - including a practical aluminum drinking bottle and a high-visibility vest for children up to 14 years old.
A clear purpose
Particular attention is paid to the “I need your help” fundraising campaign, which has collected an impressive 180,000 euros over the last 25 years - that corresponds to 5 cents per kilometer driven. This not only supports sporting activity, but also helps others, which sends a strong signal to the community.
Participants can enjoy free food during their tour, including drinks, fresh bananas, apples, and cookies and cakes at the checkpoints. Anyone interested in road safety will receive valuable information from the traffic police that is important for all cyclists.
A feast for the senses
After the tour, the TSG Mackenzell sports festival attracts with cool drinks, refreshing youth football and a bouncy castle for the little guests. The Hessian-Bavarian cycling foursome is more than just a sporting event. It is the result of the commitment and team spirit of the many people involved - and has been for 25 years now. Quad bike emphasizes that this autumn tour offers attractive routes, especially for racing cyclists, mountain bikers and families, and also raises awareness of environmental protection and road safety.
