Eschwege is celebrating: the Seelenhaus creative café opens today!
In Eschwege you can sniff the air creatively! The widely anticipated creative café will open on November 16, 2025 Soul House Association was brought into being. The association has made it its mission to promote art and culture in the region and would like to set another example with this new pop-up shop. The location at Marktstrasse 29a was generously made available by the city of Eschwege so that anyone interested can take a look at it without any worries.
The creative café will remain open until the end of January 2026 and offers a varied program of free offers. From coffee and tea to cookies, everything is included! During opening hours, which are Thursdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., visitors can take part in creative workshops. Offers include painting with hot wax, ceramic painting and even Christmas craft lessons - there is something for every generation.
A place for exchange and creativity
The aim of the creative café is to promote encounters and create space for creative work. The workshops are not just an invitation to try things out, they also invite you to exchange ideas and experiment with others. Whether you're sketching sketch notes or creating 3D images - here you can learn about the diverse possibilities of art in a playful way. All materials and tools are provided by the club so that everyone can get started right away.
The project is 100% financed by the “Aller.Land: WMK – We Make Culture” initiative. This initiative is supported by various federal ministries, including the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Thanks to these funds, the Seelenhaus association can offer extensive programs that appeal to its members and the entire community.
More than just a cafe
The Soul House was founded in 2019 and has since established itself as a cultural center. After stints in the former Elektrohaus Grüning and Mangelgasse, it has now found a new location with the Creative Café. Despite changing membership numbers, which fell from around 50 members in the year it was founded to 20 in 2023, the association currently has 50 committed members again - fortunately, 15 of them are actively involved in the projects.
Future plans also include an exhibition in autumn 2025 that will deal with the themes of nostalgia, body, freedom, diversity and intoxication.
