In the early morning of October 12th, a 29-year-old driver was arrested in downtown Korbach after he tried to evade a police check. The man comes from Rhineland-Palatinate and was noticed by the police at 7:45 a.m. because of his car with a foreign license plate. Despite stop signals, he initially stopped, but then continued driving at excessive speed, as shown Hessian/Lower Saxony General reported.
After a few hundred meters, the driver stopped his vehicle, jumped out of the car and fled on foot. The police didn't take long to ask and gave chase. Shortly afterwards, the fugitive was caught and arrested. During the check, the officers discovered that the 29-year-old did not have any valid driving license. He was also under the influence of alcohol and drugs, which led to a blood sample being ordered.
