Vellmar, Deutschland - Local transport in North Hesse has developed significantly in the past 30 years. The North Hessian Transport Association (NVV) has now launched an interesting campaign: Retro timetables from 1995 hang out at various stops and impressively show how the transport offers have changed. On the occasion of the 30th birthday of the NVV, passengers can take a look at the past by the end of the year and track the development of the transport network in their region. So the

This also includes a new line that connects Bad Wildungen via Borken to Homberg and offers an hourly time on weekdays. In addition, the tariff structure will be adjusted from January 1, 2025 and ticket prices increase on average by 5.4%. This price increase is due to increased costs, especially in the personnel area, at the same time the offer in local public transport will be expanded. The Bahninfos.com emphasizes that the aim of adaptation is to optimize the financing of public transport in order to contest a third of public funds and two thirds of public funds.
Ticket prices from January 1, 2025 provide for the following adjustments:
- Germany ticket in the subscription: from 49 euros to 58 euros/monthly.
- discounted Germany ticket with Hessenpass mobile: from 31 euros to 39 euros/monthly.
- student and senior ticket Hessen: from 365 euros to 379 euros/annually.
- NVV-Sparcard in the subscription: 9 euros/monthly.
The NVV, which was founded in 1995, has set itself the goal of creating uniform tariffs and timetables. With the upcoming changes, he not only does justice to current demand, but also the needs of passengers who want to switch to public transport. The improved clocks lead to shorter waiting times, more flexibility and more convenient connections.
A look into the past shows that public transport in North Hesse has gone through a strong change in the past three decades. As a passenger you can feel this development more and more, and that is certainly a reason to be happy.
