Butzbach's mayor Huber: Focus on digitization and proximity to the citizens!
Butzbach, Deutschland - with fresh wind and new strength, Sascha Huber took office on March 1, 2025 as mayor of Butzbach. Already on March 2, 2025, he made a name for himself at the carnival parade in Griedel and demonstrated his citizen -close approach. But the first 100 days were not only characterized by an iron drive, but also by tragic losses. City Councilor Michael J. Mentz died, as well as Hartwig Haub, the chairman of the fire brigade association. These beginnings show how important Huber is the human connection to his citizens and what challenges are waiting for him.
Communication is particularly important to the new mayor. Regular citizens' consultation hours and meetings with club representatives are planned to strengthen contact with the population. A round table on the Keltenhof artificial turf facility was also launched. Huber would like to take the concerns of all citizens seriously and inform them early about upcoming decisions.
digitization as a key to efficiency
In a time when digitization is also in the foreground in public administration, Huber has focused on optimizing processes. It relies on the expansion of free urban WiFi and the possibility of electronic residence registration. A particularly popular service is the "smart parking", which enables the payment of parking tickets by cell phone and recorded an increase in use of 50 percent. Butzbach becomes fairer to the requirements of modern times and ensures a citizen service that is efficient, transparent and close to the citizen.
But not only digital equipment should be promoted - ideas management for the city administration employees is also introduced in order to promote creative suggestions and to be able to award them. These initiatives are part of a larger strategy that gives a central role in digitization of municipalities. The aim is to make services faster, cheaper and more customer -friendly in order to meet the increasing requirements and complex regulations. The experts agree: a well -developed digital infrastructure is crucial for the modernization of municipal administration.
joint projects and infrastructure
As important as digitization is, the personal meetings with other mayors of the neighboring municipalities should not be missing. Regular discussions about common projects have already started, whereby special attention is paid to the consolidation of the urban budget through planned funding management. Infrastructure projects are also on the agenda, such as the conversations over a bridge over the federal road 3 and a pedestrian overpass at the Butzbacher train station. So Huber has a full program and many challenges.
The Butzbacher Housing Society as well as the energy and supply of Butzbach are also facing challenges. In addition to the digital transformation, Huber also pursues the development of the old tennis hall, which should come up with a skater system until the end of his term. So it remains exciting how Butzbach will develop under the new leadership.
with clear priorities and the will to participate in citizenship, Sascha Huber takes the first step into a new future for Butzbach. The echo of his first 100 days is promising, and you can look forward to what impulses he will set in the coming years.
