Art and exchange in the heart of Offenbach
The “new art friends” exhibition series takes place on the first floor of the House of City History. Works by young talents are presented here, which are selected via an open call. This is aimed at students from art universities and their surrounding areas, which gives the project a fresh and dynamic touch.
A particular focus is on networking artists from the Rhine-Main area with artists from all over Germany. This is supported by a jury consisting of the founders of the collective and the experts Dr. Stefan Soltek and Katja M. Schneider consist.
A strong team of artists
The opening series brings together an exciting selection of artists: Annie Devlin, Anton Andrienko, Ivan Hanzha, Nathanja Fetzner, Christian Pfarrer, Sookhyang Oei, Kim Eunyoung Lee and Xiaoyi Zhang show their work and allow visitors to immerse themselves in their creative worlds.
Thanks to funding from the Cultural Foundation of Sparkasse Offenbach am Main and the Sparkasse Cultural Foundation Hessen-Thuringia, this innovative project can be realized. This not only strengthens the local art scene, but also creates a space in which creativity and exchange are highly valued.
The Offenbach University of Design plays a crucial role in this by supporting young talents with an extensive educational offering. In addition to the regular courses of study, there are also postgraduate options and the chance to do a doctorate. This international orientation and the numerous collaborations with companies such as BMW or the Frankfurt Book Fair enrich student life and creative exchange in Offenbach.
