Research festival in Gelnhausen: creative holiday joy for children!

Frankfurter Str. 30b, 63571 Gelnhausen, Deutschland - Soon the time has come! The summer holidays are just around the corner, and this is the perfect time to get creative together with the smallest. On June 24, 2025, the adult education center of educational partners Main-Kinzig GmbH organizes a research festival in the Bildungshaus in Gelnhausen, Frankfurter Str. 30b. From 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. all parents, children as well as pedagogical specialists and teachers are cordially invited to take part in a colorful mix of activities.

At this free event, which is supported by well -known institutions such as the Hanau Stadt and Land community foundation and the Kreissparkasse Gelnhausen, the children can let their creativity run free when building cardboard houses, creating Leporello and the tinkering of leather bags. The research festival not only offers the possibility of creative work, but also for discovering and researching together.

A look at anniversary celebrations in the region

in Langenselbold is currently also celebrated. The folk choir, which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year, has dared to take the stage back on stage after the pandeme-related restrictions. On June 16, a children's choir singing with the Selbolder Tönchen and the Teenie Singers took place under the direction of Felix Müller. The 26-year-old conductor not only brings a breath of fresh air into the rehearsals, but also his experiences as a pianist and arranger. Müller plans to practice modern songs with the young talents, including a classic by Herbert Grönemeyer - "Children to Power".

On June 24th, Alexander Franz's 25th anniversary of the conductor will also be celebrated with a concert in the Klosterberghalle. This program promises a varied musical journey, including hits such as "Mambo" and "It's Raining Men". Tickets are available in advance for 15 euros, at the box office for 17 euros, reduced for children up to 14 years for only 5 euros. The anniversary year of the folk choir ends with a festive Christmas concert of all groups on December 9th in the Evangelical Church.

Another exciting offer for children and families is given by the initiative of Kids Kulturpass. A comprehensive program of music, theater and interactive promotions is offered here. The events can be booked across Germany and, apart from large festivals, also available for smaller facilities such as schools and kindergartens. There are no limits to the imagination from advent events to sing -along campaigns!
