Advance sales for Scrooge” begin: A celebration for the whole family!

The anticipation of the upcoming holidays is also spreading in Bad Orb. Right before Advent, the Peter von Orb theater group will be putting on a special production. Directed by Michaela Hähndel and Todd Jenkins, the play “Scrooge – A Christmas Carol” is performed, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story “A Christmas Carol”.

Rehearsals are already in full swing. A total of 18 children, teenagers and young adults take part and show a lot of commitment. After a short break during the summer holidays, the rehearsal program will be made more intensive so that the performances can begin on time. These are scheduled for the period from November 8th to 22nd, 2025, with a performance on November 8th, 9th, 21st and 22nd, at 6 p.m. in the Alfons-Lins-Haus in Bad Orb.

The plot in detail

In this gripping story, the focus is on the miserly businessman Ebenezer Scrooge. How yesTicket describes in detail, on the night of Christmas Scrooge is visited by ghosts who take him on a journey through his past, present and future. In addition to the memories of his first great love Belle and the warm mentor Mr. Fezziwig, he also learns about the challenges of the Cratchit family, especially the sick Tiny Tim. Scrooge's bleak vision of the future makes him question his own mistakes and his humanity.

The piece is recommended for children aged eight and over, so that the younger generation can also enjoy this traditional Christmas story. The entry price is family-friendly: adults pay 9 euros and children and young people only pay 5 euros. Please note that a surcharge of 1 euro is due at the box office. Seating is free and snacks and drinks will be available for sale on site.

Practical information for visitors

Admission opens one hour before the performance, so there is plenty of time to get in the festive mood. If you arrive by car, you will find parking behind the Alfons-Lins-Haus and at Seboldswiesenstraße 1.
