Things are going strong in Bad Orb! This weekend the opening of the new market square will be celebrated and there will be a lot on offer. The festival area extends from the market square via the Untertor to the idyllic Quellenpark. A festival not to be missed! A colorful program with music, interviews and competitions ensures that there is no chance of boredom. The highlight on Saturday: The popular event “HIT RADIO FFH on Tour” brings presenter Danie Kleideiter onto the stage in the middle of the action.

Children also get their money's worth: bouncy castles, puppet theater, face painting and the creative opportunity to paint nesting boxes promise the little festival visitors an unforgettable day. And while the kids explore the countless attractions, city tours invite you to hear exciting stories about important Bad Orb personalities. The unconventional walk-in labyrinth in the Quelle Park has seven circuits and guarantees fun and adventure for all participants.

The festive evening and Sunday are all about music and culture

As the sun sets, DJ Ingo Bergsen will provide the right atmosphere in the market square on Saturday evening, before a magnificent fireworks display lights up the sky over the old town. Such an impressive conclusion makes the opening of the market place a fitting celebration!

On Sundays we open with a cozy musical morning pint provided by the Kärrners Buam & Madeln. And that's not all: The WDR Mouse will also be a guest at the festival area on Sunday, which has a very special appeal, especially for the little visitors. The musical accompaniment in the afternoon is also not neglected; Ulric Wurschy will provide entertainment.

Shopping and culture up close

Another treat is the Sunday shopping, when the shops in Bad Orb invite you to stroll around. The local history museum also opens its doors to interested visitors. The celebrations are also marked by the “Day of the Open Monument” at the graduation tower in the spa park, which harmonizes perfectly with the sociable hustle and bustle on the market square. Mayor Tobias Weisbecker (CDU) emphasizes the advantages of the new market square and the restored fountain house for the city and is pleased about the successful redesign options.
