New splendor for Reichenbach: Pastor Tina Bellmann rings in the festival!

In Reichenbach, a tranquil town in the Rheingau-Taunus district, the church bells have been ringing again for 65 years. This will be celebrated with a solemn ceremony at which the new pastor Tina Bellmann also made her debut. The pastor began her service in the parishes of Steinfischbach-Reichenbach and Reinborn and celebrated her debut in a celebratory service. Again Wiesbaden courier reported, the service brought to life the memories of the 1960 dedication service.

A very special moment was the presence of former members of the Philomele choir, who provided music for the first service. Among the guests were Annette and Jan-Philipp Possmann, the daughter-in-law and grandson of the former hunting tenant Werner Possmann, whose generous donation financed the bells at the time. In addition, Ilse Nepelius, the long-time organist, celebrated her almost 101st birthday in the middle of the community.

A new beginning after many changes

Tina Bellmann brings a breath of fresh air to the community after working as a pastor in Villingen and Nonnenroth for four years. In connection with her departure, Claudia Currey, the headmistress of the Willi Ziegler primary school, praised Bellmann as a religion teacher with “power and heart”. Mayor Manfred Paul emphasized the positive changes she has brought about during her time in office. Her last weeks in Villingen were marked by special church services, including a creative carnival service and a contemplative Easter vigil, which Ilona Alberding from the church council cited as examples that shaped Bellmann's work. The farewell took place in an emotional service with a reception, where the school choir began the farewell with a self-written song.

Before moving to Reichenbach, Bellmann looks back on an impressive journey that began in 2021 when she was ordained during the pandemic. In this short time, she quickly established contact with the community members and set new accents, such as outdoor family services. Her passion for religious education is an integral part of her work.

A look into the future

With their move to the Taunus, where their husband Simon has accepted a position at the University of Wiesbaden, the Bellmanns are entering a new position in life. She will work in the Steinfischbach parish, although Dean Barbara Lang relieved her of her previous position. In order to continue to look after the faithful members well, a preaching team will be formed to look after the community. Following Bellmann's departure, Pastor Martin Jung will take over as replacement as the congregation looks to a new, exciting future.

The new path taken shows that change is not always easy, but the village community in Reichenbach is determined to actively shape the new era under the leadership of Tina Bellmann. The challenges are tackled together and believers are encouraged to get more involved.
