Third Pride service in Bad Schwalbach: Love without borders!
A special event is coming up in Bad Schwalbach: On Sunday, June 15, 2025, the third Pride service will be celebrated in the Reformation Church. It starts at 6 p.m. and the doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a champagne reception. Under the motto “Love is louder – God’s love knows no limits!” The event is organized by Pastor Ann-Sophie Huppers, Cantor Patrick Leidinger and a dedicated team. The musical accompaniment is provided by a harmonious combination of organ, piano and singing, which combines both classic church sounds and modern tones. The Wiesbaden courier reports that in addition to inspiring biblical readings and prayers, the content of the service also includes a sermon.
The goal of this event is clear: to set an example for a welcoming church and the universal love of God. After the service, all participants can use the opportunity to exchange ideas and talk to each other. This initiative strengthens community and promotes open dialogue.
A part of a larger whole
The Pride service in Bad Schwalbach is one of a number of celebrations that support the LGBTQIA+ community. Berlin will celebrate Pride Month in July 2025, shining a spotlight on queer identity, rights and history. Christopher Street Day (CSD) is the big highlight that attracts hundreds of thousands to the capital. Under the motto “Never be quiet again!” a strong signal is sent for more rights, security and social acceptance. The Friedrichstadt Palace informed that the CSD is expected to start at 12 p.m. from Lützowplatz and lead through the Nollendorfkiez to the Brandenburg Gate.
In addition, Pride Month Berlin, which begins on June 26, 2025, offers a platform for discussions, workshops and community events. The Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia (EKBO) is also actively involved and invites everyone to an open service on the eve of the CSD. This shows that support for the LGBTQIA+ community is happening not only at local levels, but also in big cities.
