New educational point in Wetzlar: starting signal for your career!
A new “education point” is being launched in Wetzlar, which will now act as a central contact point for professional qualifications and further training. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between the school department and the education management of the Lahn-Dill district, the Limburg-Wetzlar employment agency, the Lahn-Dill Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Wiesbaden Chamber of Crafts and the educational coaching “ProGraduation”.
Hello future! If you are thinking about further training, this new educational point could be just the thing for you. The target group is diverse: employees, job seekers, those returning to work and those generally interested are cordially invited to refresh their knowledge or acquire completely new skills. The offer is specifically designed to be low-threshold and regional, meaning that everyone should have access to it.
Diverse support offers
What exactly can interested parties expect? The Bildungspunkt offers a range of services, including individual advice on continuing professional development as well as information on funding opportunities and financial support. It is particularly important that even people without a specific idea for further training can find support here. The team is available to answer questions about planned qualifications and to provide suitable educational offers from regional partners.
What is particularly noteworthy is that the educational point also includes an offer to secure skilled workers for companies. Here, companies receive advice on employee qualifications and in-company further training, while at the same time they receive support in finding suitable further training measures. These components are crucial because in times of transformation, digitalization and demographic change, the development of labor markets is more in flux than ever. As the Employment agency As rightly stated, this requires constant adaptation from the workforce.
The path to further training
The need for regular further training is becoming increasingly urgent due to new technologies and professional requirements. For example, system mechanics are installing smart home technology and heat pumps, while roofers are increasingly using drones for building inspections. Anyone who doesn't keep up with the times could quickly lose touch. Thanks to the initiative of the new education point, the opportunity to deepen specialist knowledge, familiarize yourself with new technologies and reorient yourself professionally is now much easier.
In the long term, continuous training not only strengthens the innovative ability and competitiveness of individual employees, but also closes the skills gap. According to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), over 570,000 skilled workers will already be needed in Hesse in 2023 to meet current and future challenges. The BMBF therefore promotes numerous initiatives, programs and scholarships to actively support the continuing education landscape.
Overall, the new education point in Wetzlar is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to give their career a boost or simply further their education. The partners have set themselves an ambitious goal: They want to strengthen professional development - regionally and directly on site - and they will pull out all the stops to achieve this.
