What's new in the Natural Kindergarten Fire Salamander? Today was an exciting day, because the children were allowed to spend an exciting morning with the Michelstadt volunteer fire brigade. For many of the little ones, it was the first time that they could experience what firefighters do and how they are equipped. The fire brigade brought the curious people to the fire station in a fire brigade vehicle, where all kinds of adventures were waiting for them.

A committed mother from kindergarten who actively participates in the fire brigade acted as a guide and showed the entire fire brigade building to the children. She explained the various vehicles and their equipment and also touched the functioning of respiratory protection devices. An important concern was to make it clear to the children that they do not have to be afraid of firefighters in protective clothing and masks - after all, they are there to help!

The fire engines, especially the fire -fighting group vehicle, fascinated the children. This vehicle is considered an all -rounder. Equipped for almost every application, it is the first to move out in many missions. With a water tank of 2,400 liters and a permanently built -in foam agent tank, extinguishing attacks can be started on the go. In addition, the vehicle is well equipped for technical assistance, which inspired the children.

Such an event can not only arouse curiosity for the fire brigade, but also appeal to the youngsters! The basic training in the volunteer fire brigade requires a certain amount of leisure time, but this is limited and the training is diverse. The so -called "basic course" consists of theory and practical content and promotes the fire brigade skills of the participants. The possibilities of further training are also impressive and range from trophy guides to special courses, for example for breathing apparatus wearers.

A big thank you therefore deserves the Michelstadt volunteer fire brigade, which made this exciting and educational morning possible for the children. Interest in the fire brigade can only be promoted by such committed actions and maybe the next firefighter or the nearest firefighter will be inspired.
