What is happening at TU Darmstadt? This year the university is taking part in the city cycling event between September 7th and 27th, 2025. The Climate Alliance's nationwide campaign calls for people to collect as many bicycle kilometers as possible in a friendly competition. This commitment not only benefits the environment, but also promotes the health of the participants and strengthens team spirit.
The aim of the campaign is clear: it is about promoting cycling and making a contribution to climate protection. Participants can also experience the health benefits of cycling. Because cycling is not only good for the environment - it also keeps you fit and healthy. usz.tu-darmstadt.de reports on the possibility of reducing CO2 emissions and supporting the city of Darmstadt on its way to a more bicycle-friendly environment.
Who is allowed to participate?
Anyone who belongs to TU Darmstadt can cycle along: students, employees, teachers and researchers as well as their friends and family. If you don't have your own bike, there's no need to worry - there are numerous options for getting mobile. You can rent bikes or use friends' bikes.
Flexibility comes first: there is no need to pedal every day; all kilometers traveled during the promotional period count, regardless of whether the trip was private or professional. Of course, you can also simply record the kilometers manually on the official city cycling website or conveniently enter them using the free city cycling app. tu-darmstadt.de
This is how it works
- Registrierung auf der Stadtradeln-Website für das Team „TU Darmstadt“.
- Radfahren im Zeitraum vom 7. bis 27. September 2025.
- Eintragen der geradelten Kilometer online oder via App.

This campaign is a great opportunity for the TU to not only actively contribute to climate protection, but also to raise awareness of environmentally friendly mobility.
