It's getting festive in Lispenhausen! The volunteer fire department is celebrating a very special anniversary this year: On August 22nd and 23rd, 2025, 100 years since the fire department was founded will be celebrated. The organization of the event around chairman Uwe Krapf promises a party that is worth seeing. Loud HNA The community can expect a packed program on these days.
The ceremony begins on Friday, August 22nd, at 6 p.m. in the community center on Schulstrasse and will be accompanied by important personalities such as District Administrator Torsten Warnecke and Mayor Marcus Weber. Uwe Krapf will describe the exciting history of the fire department, while the al-dente music group will provide the musical accompaniment to the celebrations. An event that is important for both the fire department and the entire community.
Blue light mile and live music
Saturday brings the Blue Light Mile with a variety of exhibitions and attractions. From 11 a.m., visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the fire department: there are demonstrations, various vehicles and equipment to see, and a live football tournament. A giant bouncy castle also makes children's hearts beat faster and coffee and cake ensure their physical well-being. In the evening at 9 p.m. the band “Thursday Night Crawlers” will rock the stage and ensure a good atmosphere.
The Lispenhausen Volunteer Fire Department was originally founded on December 16, 1925 when there was a lack of the compulsory fire department and its resources. The first commander, Mayor Heinrich Fischer, and the first fire chief Wilhelm Trieselmann laid the foundation for a committed and necessary institution. The fire department developed quickly, installed the first alarm siren in 1929 and made impressive progress with its first “real” operation, a barn fire in Erkshausen in 1927.
Active members and continued existence
Today the fire department has 187 members, including 20 from the operations department and 12 in the youth fire department. A strong team supported by fire chief Daniel Sandrock and his deputy Robert Wilk. As chairman, Krapf shows through his commitment how important community and voluntary work are. There are also active people on the board who hope to have a good hand in the future development of the club.
For Lispenhausen, an anniversary like this is more than just a reason to celebrate - it is also an opportunity to honor the work of the fire department, which has provided security and help in the community for decades. Visitors and fellow firefighters are cordially invited to celebrate this special event and toast the next 100 years together!
