Fairytale children's festival in Hünfeld: A day full of fun and joy!

on Sunday, June 15, 2025, the Haselsee in Hünfeld shone in a festive splendor. The big children's festival took place under the motto "fairytale and colorful", which now attracted numerous small visitors and their families in its fourth edition. Organized by the city of Hünfeld, the event was a complete success and once again made it clear how alive the cultural life in the region is. How Osthessen News are happy about the high resonance.

The event offered a total of 17 stations with various activities around the Haselsee. There was something for everyone from creative participation stands, games to musical performances. The local heroes of the Mackenzell primary school, the TKV Grossenbach, the wind class of the Wigbertschule and the Hünfeld city ballet brought the stage to life and provided great entertainment.

Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok was pleased with the high number of visitors and combined the event with the Hessentag feeling, which took place 25 years ago in Hünfeld. Admission to this festival was free, which certainly contributed to the rush. Visitors praised the excellent organization and the diversity of the program, in particular the appearance of the Mackenzell primary school. In addition to music and dance, there were also numerous hands -on activities.

The highlights included the children's m and mitemach concert with "Mr. Müller and his guitar", an enchanting walking act with the forest fairy Lysandra and various activities such as the popular photo box with costumes. The soap bladder theater was also very well received by young and old. Richter's event service, the THW local association Hünfeld and the café on Haselsee, which also offered free pedal boats.

As in previous years, the children's festival presented itself as a magical place for entertainment and creativity. Around 18 stations offered the little guests the opportunity to try out: from pony rides at the riding and driving club to workshops from "herbal witch" Simone Ludwig. Craft offers and face painting were also very popular. For the little adventurers, the scouts had exciting activities such as the production of necklaces and stick bread grilles. The puppet theater piece "Ms. Holle" from the Konrad Zuere students was another dazzling program item.

As part of the Main-Kinzig-Fulda cultural summer, the children's festival is supported by the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Art and Culture as well as the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thuringia.
