Gold rush for water lovers Fulda: Four medals at the Hesse Championships!

The Hessian Synchronized Swimming Championships took place in Urberach on June 15, 2025, and the Wasserfreunde Fulda cut an excellent figure. With a total of 13 swimmers at the start, the athletes won four titles. This was done by East Hesse News reported.

The competitions began on Saturday with the compulsory figures and the technical freestyles. Here Tanja Wolgin showed what she was made of: She not only took second place in the compulsory figures, but also secured the gold medal in the D age group in the solo competition. “It was a great feeling to be at the front,” said Wolgin after the event.

Young talents and strong performances

The youngest participants, including Lena Wolgin, Violetta Giss and Stella Gellert, celebrated impressive successes in their first participation. They proved that they can already start at a high level. Iva Necovski also surprised the audience and took second place in the C age group in solo.

In the duet competition, the water friends shone several times: Tanja Wolgin and Maja Auth won the silver medal, while Evelin Klein and Sophie-Katharina Pilz even took first place in their age group and second place overall. “The duets were simply great!” said one impressed audience member.

The group freestyles also caused a stir. In strong competition, Malia Nowak, Melina Mihm, Maja Auth and Tanja Wolgin achieved second place. The trainers Annika Hütsch and Jana Giss are proud of the sporting achievements of their protégés and emphasized how important teamwork and fighting spirit are for success.
