Fulda 2025 Education Fair: A place full of opportunities for the future!

On September 12, 2025, the starting signal was given for the 31st education fair in Fulda, which took place in the inviting ambience of Concept house Karl and takes place on the university square. The event, which lasts until September 13th, presents a wide range of apprenticeships, internships and dual study programs.

With over 140 exhibitors, including prominent institutions like this DRK Fulda, the Fulda Clinic and the Sparkasse, a multi-faceted offering takes place here. IHK President Dr. In his opening speech, Christian Gebhardt emphasized the significant role of the trade fair in the career orientation of young people. “This trade fair is a place of opportunities,” said Mayor Dr. Heiko Wingenfeld, who emphasized the importance of personal contact.

Diverse possibilities

Visitors can choose from over 400 educational and career opportunities, ranging from skilled trades to health professions to creative professions. A strengths test helps young people and their parents make the right choice. At a time when training numbers are declining - in July 2025, companies registered only 794 training contracts, 80 fewer than in the previous year - the education fair is an important forum to talk directly to trainers and make valuable contacts.

In view of the alarming shortage of skilled workers, whose forecasts predict a need for over 11,000 skilled workers in the Fulda district by 2030, the trade fair is more than just an event - it is a necessity. Sectors such as crafts, care, logistics and corporate management are particularly affected. District Administrator Bernd Woide pointed out the urgency of promoting companies' willingness to train and bringing about positive change through events like these.

Political support

Hessian Economics Minister Kaweh Mansoori is expected on the Saturday of the trade fair, who will provide information about the Hessian promotion bonus. Since June 2024, this new funding of 3,500 euros for graduates of public advanced training courses is intended to provide an additional incentive not to let training fall behind and to increase the attractiveness of the professions.

The education fair in Fulda is much more than just a place to browse – it is a living testimony to the diverse professional opportunities available to the region. With numerous hands-on activities and a varied program, it aims to give young people valuable experience and the confidence they need for their professional future.
