In the region around Mitterode, it is built vigorously. On behalf of the Werra-Meißner-Kreis, Hessen Mobil has started the work at Kreisstraße 26, which will take care of some changes in the traffic flow in the coming months. A first section was successfully completed in December 2024, while the work on the second route has been underway since April 2023. The next construction site will be opened in the area of the railway viaduct from Monday, July 7, 2023, and you are planning to complete the expansion work by mid -August 2023, i.e. at the end of the summer vacation.
But the large construction site chaos is not only saved in Mitterode. Hessen Mobil also presented an extensive road construction plan for 2025, which includes a further 14 projects in the entire Werra-Meißner-Kreis. The construction work on the railway Viaduct in Mitterode is carried out under full closure due to the low road width. The closures are planned Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. But don't worry, the construction site can be driven through outside the blocking times. Rescue and emergency services will have access at any time, so that help can be quickly there even in difficult situations. Hessen Mobil asks all residents and road users for understanding the restrictions.
