On September 16, 2025, the Virtual Start-up Center Schwalm-Eder (VGZ) will celebrate a proud anniversary: 20 years of support for start-ups and creative minds in the region. The big celebration will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, as part of the popular Michaelmas market in Treysa. The event will be hosted by the courtyard at Bahnhofstrasse 12, the former post office.
The program starts at 12 p.m. with a startup marketplace where former VGZ participants present their regional startup stories. Visitors can not only gain exciting insights into personal success stories, but also purchase products from the founding companies and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. And that's not all: a wheel of fortune with prizes from local founding stories will certainly provide additional fun and excitement. The management of the VGZ highlights the diversity and creativity of the region and cordially invites everyone interested to the celebration.
The virtual incubator is changing
From 2025, the VGZ Schwalm, founded in 2005, will officially become the VGZ Schwalm-Eder and has now spread across 21 cities and municipalities. With the expansion, a large number of new partners have been added, including cities such as Edermünde, Felsberg, Körle and many more. This network is crucial in offering comprehensive support to those wanting to start a business. Schwalmstadt attaches great importance to the joint cooperation of the Schwalm, Schwalm-Eder-West and Schwalm-Eder-Mitte special purpose associations, which have been active since 2020.
The goal of the VGZ is clear: to help start-ups! The range of advice on offer is becoming increasingly broader, offering support with financing, networking and the development of business models. Weekly consultation days are an opportunity to receive valuable tips in a personal conversation, and the best part: They're free!
