There is good news for all culture enthusiasts in the Schwalm-Eder district: the promotion of art and cultural projects will continue at full speed in the future. Since 2020, the previous directive has been able to bear fruit, but after five years a need for review and adjustment has now been identified. The goal of the revision was clear: to retain functioning elements while optimizing existing structures. Under the adjusted funding conditions, temporary art and cultural projects as well as necessary purchases continue to be eligible for funding.
New framework conditions and funding opportunities
The new directive makes it possible to cover up to 50 percent of the eligible costs - but up to a maximum of 2,000 euros. Previously, the upper limit was 1,000 euros and fixed application deadlines had to be adhered to. This is now a thing of the past, as in future decisions on submitted applications will be made on a quarterly basis. Practical for applicants: Applications can now be submitted twice a year, on April 30th and October 31st. This flexibility could be a good deal for many.
Natural and legal entities under public law and local authorities are eligible to apply. Particular attention is paid to digital implementation: applications are submitted exclusively online via the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis website, where further information on the funding guidelines and the application form can also be found.
