Mt Talents fight bronze at the VW Cup: big handball event!
The MT Talents achieved a great third place at the Volkswagen Cup of the C-youth in the Melsung city sports hall. In an exciting final, the Foxes Berlin prevailed against the Middle Hesse Youngsters from Hüttenberg and secured first place. Participation in the tournament only included teams playing in the regional league, the highest division for C youth teams.
At the Volkswagen Cup, which was very well received, the MT Talents, Füchse Berlin, Mittelhessen Youngsters, JSG Westfalen, TV Großwallstadt and TSV Anderten competed against each other. The talents from Melsungen reached the semi -finals through second place in their group. There were some gripping encounters: however, they had to give up the foxes with 12:22 in the semifinals.

With these results, the MT Talents were finally able to qualify for the small final. There they showed all their skills and won against the JSG Westphalia with 22:12, which the bronze medal secured them.

In the semi -finals there was an encounter JSG Westfalen and Middle Hesse Youngsters, where the latter won 18:15. The game for fifth place also offered exciting handball: here the TSV Anderten prevailed against TV Großwallstadt with 28:23.
Timo Köhling from the JSG Westfalen, who was awarded the player of the tournament, is to be emphasized. Axel Renner, board member of the MT, used the award ceremony to thank the organization team and all helpers for their great work.Handball is also an exciting topic in the youth Bundesliga. A look at the Foxes Berlin shows that they are currently at the top in their league without loss of points. These services confirm the high priority that the team occupies in youth handball. The HSV Hamburg cannot quite keep up after a defeat against THW Kiel and has to prepare intensively in order to stay in the race. The achievements of both teams are inspiring for the MT Talents, which are motivated by such role models, to continue working on their development.
