Music, atmosphere and sausages: Fête de la Musique in Vellmar!
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the city of Vellmar is expecting a very special event: the Fête de la Musique will be celebrated in the picturesque Ahnepark. At 5:12 p.m., in keeping with Midsummer, it starts with an entertaining gag staged on the occasion of the city's 1250th anniversary. The event is not only intended to inspire, but above all to enliven the Niedervellmar district. The festival is organized by the Niedervellmar Action Alliance, consisting of Horst Schönewolf, Heiko Eulen and Manuel Spier.
In the Ahnepark amphitheater, a stage will be built in the pavilion, which will underline the street character of the event. However, the logistics also present some challenges: transporting lights, technology and seating through the park requires planning and skill. There is provision for around 90 seats in the roundabout and up to 300 listeners on the steps. From a culinary point of view, guests can look forward to 300 bratwursts and a selection of drinks.
A varied music program
The eight selected artists booked for the evening include talents from different musical genres: pop, jazz, country and swing. The following artists will perform in an exciting musician roundup:
- 17:12 Uhr: Stefanie Tayen (Liedermacherin)
- 17:40 Uhr: Kirsten Kindler (Singer-Songwriterin)
- 18:20 Uhr: Two of us (Pop-Duo)
- 19:00 Uhr: FreiHerr (Sänger)
- 19:40 Uhr: Brunettis (Country-Duo)
- 20:20 Uhr: Kammermusik Jazz
- 21:00 Uhr: Fidel Caro (Liedermacher)
- 21:40 Uhr: Fantastische Freunde (Swing-Band)
Entry to this musical highlight is free, which makes the event particularly inviting and accessible to everyone.
A worldwide celebration of music
The Fête de la Musique is not an isolated event, but is celebrated on June 21st in over 500 cities worldwide. Over 300 cities in Europe and more than 50 in Germany, including Hanover, are part of this colorful festival, which was founded in Paris in 1982 to bring music and people together. In Hanover, for example, the beginning of summer is being celebrated for the ninth time with around 3,000 musicians on 39 stages - a real spectacle!
There, the focus is on participation activities and togetherness, while in Vellmar the focus is on a variety of talented artists who will inspire visitors with their skills. The international nature of the Fête de la Musique symbolizes connection through music, and this can also be felt in Vellmar, where local artists will take the stage to share their music.
The positive weather forecast promises optimal conditions for visitors, who can look forward to an unforgettable evening in musical community. So let’s go to the Ahnepark – the music is waiting for you!
The Fête de la Musique is celebrated as a platform for cultural participation and musical diversity and calls on all musicians to set an example for peace and community. Together we will ensure that the streets and squares in Vellmar are filled with music on June 21st.
