Piano Festival in Vellmar: Experience masterpieces from Bach to Chopin!

What's happening in Vellmar? On October 31st and November 1st, 2025, the Chroma School of Music and Dance will be the stage for the fourth piano festival. Under the artistic direction of Vera Osina, a passionate pianist and teacher, the event promises a festive celebration of classical piano music.
This year's festival opens on Friday, October 31, at 7 p.m. with a concert by Armenian pianist Zhora Sargsyan. He will present works by Franz Schubert and Alexander Scriabin, among others, and anticipation is great as Sargsyan is internationally known as a soloist and chamber musician. On Saturday, November 1st, at 7 p.m., the pianist and conductor Michael Kravtchin will be on stage and perform masterpieces by Frédéric Chopin. Kravtchin has not only made a name for himself as a pianist, but is also a festival director and orchestra founder.

On the same Saturday there is also a special program item: At 2:30 p.m. ten talented students of piano teachers Elena Urvalova and Alexander Weht will perform. The listeners can admire the youngest among them, including a six-year-old virtuoso young artist who will shine with compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, Dmitri Shostakovich and Sergei Rachmaninoff. This event is also a great opportunity for young talent to gain stage experience.

Entrance fees and location

Admission for music school students is free, while concert tickets for adults cost 20 euros for one concert and 35 euros for both concerts. They are available in advance at the music school or at the box office. It is advisable to get tickets early as demand is already high.

The Chroma School for Music and Dance is located at Adalbert Stifter Straße 25 in Vellmar. Frank Eichler will tune the Steinway grand piano during the concert so that the audience can enjoy first-class sounds.

In summary, the fourth piano festival in Vellmar promises an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all ages. Finally, it is a wonderful opportunity to support the passion and commitment of young pianists, while the renowned international artist Sargsyan and the artistically accomplished Kravtchin enrich the program.
