Brilliant castle ball in Kassel: 380 guests celebrate in the Bergpark!

The Schlossball in the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel celebrated its fifth edition last Saturday with a brilliant celebration. Around 380 guests gathered under the sparkling starry sky to enjoy an evening full of elegance, dancing and good mood. The event was reported on HNA.

The air was filled with festive music when the “ResiDance Orchestra Cassel” under the direction of Kai-Michael Schirmer opened the dance floor with the Radetzky March. For the 14 couples who had prepared for the opening dance, this was the long-awaited moment to demonstrate their skills. The dancer couple Larissa Klaus and Torben Zinke from the dance sports department of the OSC Vellmar were particularly outstanding.

A touch of classic and elegance

The charisma of the evening was underlined by the majestic backdrop of the park and the festive decoration of the Ballhaus in Wilhelmshöhe. This year, the organizers raised the ticket price to 30 euros to cover the increasing costs of renting a pavilion, which rose from 600 euros to 1,000 euros. But that didn’t deter the guests – quite the opposite!

A highlight was the carriage ride by Marina Hennemann and her companion, who drove through the park in an elegant white carriage, pulled by the Polish warmbloods Roxanne and Lex. The coachman Dirk Rose steered the horses with a skillful hand.

Special guests and socializing

Among the guests was Nancy Hirschfeld, the former Zissel Queen, who attended the castle ball for the third time in a row. Her partner Dieter Rausch came from Switzerland especially to spend this special evening with her. Thomas Träbing, the initiator of the castle ball, was open-minded about the weather and the Florida-like temperatures, which brightened the evening even more.

The evening also offered a “seven-hour dance guarantee”, which was promised by Thomas Träbing. The musical entertainment was provided by the live band “Only 4 You”, which also provided lively sounds outdoors.

Another special moment of the evening was the celebration of Hannelore Bohnert, who received a warm birthday greeting from the senior dance group of the Rot-Weiss-Klub Kassel. Such personal touches make events like the Castle Ball something very special and make hearts beat faster.

Overall, the Castle Ball in the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe was a brilliant event that combined all the core elements of a traditional ball: dance, elegant clothing and a sociable atmosphere. A perfect evening for everyone involved that will be remembered fondly!
