The Musikverein 1965 Kassel (MVK) had a fantastic festival weekend on the occasion of its 60th anniversary. The guests were able to feast on various schnitzel variations and bratwursts, while a small amusement park was available for the children. The tent could accommodate up to 1,000 people, both seated and standing, and despite a heavy downpour, the band was unfazed. The mood remained high, and the overall performance with around 80 musicians from different communities, led by Mayor Matthias Schmitt, was the absolute highlight of the festival.

Matthias Schmitt, who also acted as patron and conductor, led the listeners through the four brass music classics that were performed during the entire game. The performances by the “Scherzachtaler” ensemble on Saturday evening also created an excellent atmosphere.

Morning pint concert in Lanzingen

Another cultural highlight recently took place: The Kassel Music Association organized a morning pint concert in the Lanzingen village community center.
