Wetterau cyclists conquer Neuschwanstein: Adventure in the Alps!
The two -wheeler races from Wetterau left in early June 2025 to a one -week bike tour that led them through picturesque landscapes and exciting adventures. The tour started in Lindau on Lake Constance in bright sunshine. With a lot of enthusiasm, the cyclists crossed the pre-Alpine country and finally reached their first destination-Oy-Mittelberg after a refreshing bath in the Rottachsee. On the second day, the route led to Füssen, where the group visited the impressive Neuschwanstein Castle. The cyclists then made their way to their hotel in Oberammergau when a thunderstorm started. The demanding route to Garmisch-Partenkirchen presented the group with some challenges, especially with the steep climbs, which demanded a lot of strength. However, a stop in Bad Tölz offered the opportunity to relax in a beer garden and enjoy the beautiful surroundings during a little break.in Gmund on Lake Tegernsee, the cyclists met a hotel manager who also came from the Wetterau. This led to interesting conversations about the peculiarities of home and the way of life in the distance. They experienced an unexpected adventure on a forest descent near Lake Schlierse when the back brake failed on a wheel. Fortunately, this problem could be resolved quickly.

The tour continued to Bernau am Chiemsee, where the group met another wheel group from Wetterau. Such encounters created the feeling of a community among like -minded people. As a crowning glory of the adventure, the bike tour at the Königssee ended with a boat trip to the St. Bartholomä pilgrimage church. Here the participants were able to reflect on the experiences gathered and find that the tour was much more than just a sporting challenge.
