Friedberg: New classrooms by 2028 – This is how things continue at the Augustinian School!
There is reason to be happy in Friedberg: Mayor Kjetil Dahlhaus and District Administrator Jan Weckler have agreed to continue the interim solution for the Augustinian School until March 31, 2028. This will take the form of a two-story mobile space system (MRS), which includes six classrooms and will remain on urban land. The Wetteraukreis has already invested 1.1 million euros in this interim solution. Although the city of Friedberg has foregone annual income of around 30,000 euros since the mobile room system was built, everyone involved sees the measure as urgently necessary. Student numbers and construction measures
With the change from G8 to G9 and the steadily increasing number of students, the need for additional classrooms at the Augustinian School arose as early as the 2022/23 school year. The Wetteraukreis has examined various options for finding space and is now planning an extension that will be built on the existing school site.
