New lido on Lake Kinzig: Opening after extensive renovation!

In the Kinzigsee lido in Langenselbold, the renovation of the sanitary building is now finally completed. On June 16, 2025, visitors can enjoy the new facilities to the fullest. The work that cost more than 400,000 euros brought some delays with them, mainly due to difficult awarding processes and unforeseen construction work. Strong delivery bottlenecks for roofing systems and electrical settlements additionally delayed the completion. The guests have left these challenges on containers for changing rooms and toilets in the past two years.

The new sanitary building trumps with a modern, barrier -free design and a photovoltaic system that is emblazoned on the roof. The modern facilities include a women's area with a total of 3 showers, 7 toilets and 3 sinks, while the men are well equipped with 3 showers, 5 toilets and 4 waterless urinals. In order to optimize water consumption, the showers and hand washer fittings are provided with an automatic self -bleat system, and the hot water supply runs via separate heat generators for women and men, which are largely operated by the photovoltaic system.

a festival for the whole family

To celebrate the opening, the lido invites you to a big festival with many attractions for the whole family on June 19, 2025. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. hands -on activities and creative play stations await big and small guests. The evening is all about music and is designed by three DJs - Dripzz, Dave and Motix - with a colorful program. Beach volleyball and stand-up paddling will also be announced in the coming summer months, as well as creative workshops and sailing campaigns with the ADAC Wassersportclub.

In addition, the lido will also carry out two more summer evenings with musical performances on July 19 and August 23. All preparations are ready to give visitors an eventful summer.

barrier -free living and Promotion

Not only leisure activities are important, barrier -free living in Hesse is also promoted. According to Pflege-helfer24.de , the KfW has increased the funding for conversion to barrier-free baths to 150 million euros. House owners and tenants can apply for grants up to 6,250 euros per residential unit, for measures such as installation of the floor -level showers or the installation of handles. The program aims to make living space in Germany age -appropriate and barrier -free in order to enable older people or people with restrictions to a self -determined life.

according to kfw Anyone who plans such a renovation can make a modernization agreement with the landlord. This is particularly important for tenants who live in older buildings. The KfW wants to support an improvement in the quality of living in every phase of life in the long term.

The combination of leisure activities in the lido and the promotion for barrier -free living shows that in Langenselbold and beyond the borders the effort for an environment worth living for - whether young or old - is very popular.
